What is Botox?

Botox is the world’s most popular nonsurgical aesthetic treatment. An injectable medication, Botox works by temporarily impeding the ability of targeted facial muscles to go through their full range of motion. That means those muscles will no longer be able to pull your skin into wrinkles, folds, and lines.

Botox is FDA-approved for use on frown lines, forehead lines, and crow’s feet. This medication can also be used off-label to create a number of effects in other areas of the face. Injections take very little time. The effects develop within a couple of days and last for around four months.
